slixties.

The centerpiece of this photo is this 60’s Slingerland kit rewrapped in purple sparkle.  Truly a great sounding, awesome looking little kit.  *Bonus* It’s under a grand.

Flanked by the sweetest Coronet (1965) I’ve ever played and a gorgeous example of a Crestwood custom (1966).  Check out the tailpiece on the custom.  ImageImageImage

Shaguar?

1965 Fender Jaguar that was stripped of its original Dakota Red finish, revealing a really beautiful and resonant piece of wood. This Jag has a meaty tone – with strong midrange characteristics. Not too much biting top end – enough to know it’s a Jaguar, but not so crispy it hurts. It’s a sweet machine.

Vintage Jenco Vibraphone

We have a beautiful set of vintage Jenco Vibes (also known as “vibrabells” in the early days of Jenco) on our floor right now.  A 2.5 octave from C-F with 1.5″ x 0.5″ Aluminum bars, a perfect size for the space conscious New Yorker.  The motor is in awesome condition and they sound amazing.  With a Black Diamond Pearl finish, these will be a great addition to someone’s studio or music project.
